A Santa Barbara birthday

We were just a few months away from our wedding and all I wanted was a break from work and planning. We decided to take a trip down to Santa Barbara for my 28th birthday.

The Airbnb

We booked this tiny shared space right down near the main strip with all the shopping and restaurants. I remember walking in and loving this weird boho-surve shack vibe…

Sight seeing in Santa Barbara

The whole weekend was grey and overcast, but I didn’t mind. We walked along the beach and up and down state street, where most of the bars and shops were. I loved seeing all the different tile designs, something I find is unique to different areas.

We poked into thrift shops and saw these really cool boots. If i was a cowgirl boot kinda girl, I might have bought some. I did however take home a bowl.

The Santa Barbara bar scene is great for cocktail drinkers like me!

Hiking in the Santa Barbara mountains

On our last day, we took a misty hike up in the mountains outside of Santa Barbara. We came back and had a lovely dinner and drinks before heading home.
