Spring camping at misty lake of the Springs

It was early April and my parents were staying at Lake of the Springs campground. They invited us and our friends to come up and camp with them. The day we arrived we decided to hike around the lake.

About an hour into the hike, the clouds broke up and we came upon a beautiful field of violets. We decided to sit and have lunch here amongst the flowers.

Back at camp, we drank and played board games until dinner time.

The next morning we woke to the sound of light rain on the lake. It took some time for everyone to stir from their tents. We poured coffee and coco into our mugs and walked around the lake one last time.

I left with the image of mist rising from the lake and gently sifting through the trees burned into my memory.
